Extended Services are additional services and activities offered by schools to pupils, their families and the community. These may include extra-curricular activities or wider services provided before and after the school day.
Decisions about which extended services to offer are made by the schools themselves who decide which services to include based on the contribution they are making to improving pupil outcomes, particularly for disadvantaged pupils.
Aireborough Extended Services helps to co-ordinate a range of services, out of school activities, parent support and information, in partnership with fourteen schools in the area including St. Mary's. In addition to the educational services, some of the most relevant to St. Mary's are:
The Youth Service
Libraries
Health and Social Care
