Charity Support
At St Mary's we are proud to contribute to a range of local and national charities. Fundraising events take place throughout the year at form, year group and whole school level.
Whole School Fundraising
The four main school charities we support at St Mary's are very important to us and we invest time in raising money for them, especially in Advent, as well as throughout the year. Click on the charity to find out more.

Catholic Care
Catholic Care
Catholic Care is the social care organisation of the Diocese of Leeds. Catholic Care acts to support all those in need of its services, especially people experiencing disadvantage and poverty, and it acts as an advocate for those unable to represent themselves.
They have worked for over a hundred years on behalf of children, families and adults in many communities in the Yorkshire area. This work currently ranges from an adoption and family finding service to supported living for people with learning disability, care homes, volunteer work and community projects.
Catholic Care say thank you to St. Mary's:
"The work of Catholic Care in the Diocese of Leeds is dependent upon the generous financial support received from you through the ‘Good Shepherd’ collection which supports our work with children and young people. Your support is vital to our success. Thank You."
Year Group Fundraising
In addition to our main four charities, each year group elects a charity which is of particular importance to them and organise events to raise money for them.
Individuals
We encourage our students to share their individual fundraising ideas for causes close to their heart.
