A Level Success
As our students collect their A-Level and Vocational qualification results, they can reflect proudly on their achievements. There are some outstanding subject and individual outcomes at all levels of attainment with an array of personal stories and triumphs behind many of their individual results.
“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our students who have received their examination results today. Their achievements stand as testament to their individual and collective resilience and commitment to pursue their aspirations with hard work and dedication. Whilst results days are first and foremost about individual young people and their achievements, I am particularly pleased that the overall results for the school continue a 6-year trend of excellent academic performance, highlighting the calibre of education that young people receive here at St Marys ”
Margaret Hattersley, Headteacher
Over one third of all grades achieved this year were A* or A, which is well above the 2024 national average, additionally, the number of A*, A and B grades in facilitating subjects is exceptionally high. We are also delighted that the vast majority of students have achieved the grades required to progress to their 1st choice destinations in September.
We are proud of all of our students and celebrate their achievements in person today, recognising the fantastic progress that they have made throughout their time at St Marys, we also think it is important to highlight a small selection of notable performances by students who have received exemplary results.

At St Mary’s we believe that all young people are unique, possessing their own gifts and talents. Their A-Level and Vocational qualification results, whilst noteworthy, are only one part of what makes them special and how they should be valued as human beings. These young people have enriched our school community during their time here and we are grateful to them for their many and varied contributions which have helped to shape our school and make it such a special community to be part of.
The skills, experiences, values and qualities that our young people have gained or developed whilst at school will provide a solid foundation for their future endeavours and we wish our Year 13 leavers every success for the exciting journey that lies ahead as they move forward with their lives.
