Flame 2025

A group from St Mary’s travelled down to Wembley Arena with students from St John Fisher Harrogate to join with 10,800 other young Catholics for the biannual CYMFED Congress. The Theme was Unstoppable. It was a day of reflection, talks, worship and lots and lots of fun. Bear Grylls OBE was one of the speakers along with David Wells with music performed by the One Hope Project, Guvna B and the World Youth Dance Crew. Seb Greer and Danielle Kativhu, Year 9, who attended said, ‘it was a unique, impactful experience. Others should go in the future if they get the chance.’ Juliette Stewardson, also Year 9 say’s ‘I haven’t been able to stop talking about Flame. It was amazing to share the day with so many other young Catholics.’ The day concluded with Adoration led by Cardinal Vincent Nichols.
