Debating team visit BBC Radio 4's 'Any Questions?'
On Friday 14 October 2023, 9 of our debating students, ranging from Years 7-11, attended a special
75th anniversary broadcast of BBC Radio 4's 'Any Questions?' - the longest running live discussion programme in the UK. The show was being recorded at the National Media Museum in Bradford and the audience consisted of young people from across Leeds and Bradford, all submitting questions
to grill the panel members. Panelists included Lisa Nandy MP, Lee Rowley MP and Scarlet Westbrook,
All of our students posed a number of questions on topics ranging
from the cost-of-living crisis, HS2, young people's mental health and
equal pay. We were hugely impressed with their involvement in the show and the discussions that arose as a result of some of the panelist’s answers. The full episode is now on BBC Sounds.
